Vimec Home Lift

E07

Vimec’s partner, a trusted provider of high-quality mobility solutions, recently completed a successful installation of an electrical home lift with a stainless steel cabin and a masonry shaft in a private home located in the UK. This case study details how Vimec’s partner overcame the challenges faced during the installation process, delivering a custom-made home lift that exceeded the homeowner’s expectations.

The Challenge

Their initial goal was to find out what type of home lifts were available and to buy one that could accommodate a wheelchair.

Their initial goal was to find out what type of home lifts were available and to buy one that could accommodate a wheelchair. Also, they wanted a lift that would take up as little space as possible because they didn’t want to lose too much floor space. In addition, the client wanted a product that didn’t look out of place.

The Solution

During the initial inquiry stage, the partner received drawings from the Architect of the proposed dwelling and, working with the Architect, Vimec’s partner was able to agree on an appropriate position for the lift.

It was important to have a product that would not look out of place, had a minimal footprint, and would be big enough for a wheelchair and one person.

Since the client had a plant room planned as well, our partner recommended installing a hydraulic lift so that the shaft could be reduced in size and the hydraulic unit could be housed separately. Moreover, the soundproofed plant room added the benefit of reducing noise levels in the main house space where the lift was installed.

The Result

The completion of the hydraulic home lift with stainless steel cabin and masonry shaft in the UK home was a remarkable success, surpassing the homeowner’s expectations for both aesthetics and functionality. The stainless steel cabin’s innovative design significantly improved the residence’s visual appeal while providing enhanced durability and longevity. The masonry shaft’s blend with the home’s architectural elements ensured a seamless and elegant installation.
